Stem Cell Institute in Panama City and Celva in Tijuana both give allogeneic cells (from a screened donor; no harvest procedure for you), given by physicians. Stem Cell Institute uses umbilical-cord cells. Celva uses three cell types, made by a process developed in-house and used nowhere else. Extra infusion days
3–4 sessionsStem Cell Institute spreads the cells across several days on the ground. Celva does the application in a single day. The extra sittings are days in Panama, not a different treatment.
Five nights at the Hilton
5 nightsA multi-night hotel stay, with a standard room included in the treatment price. It is where you sleep between infusions, not treatment. Celva sends you home to your own bed the same night.
The long flight, twice

Is the Stem Cell Institute in Panama legitimate?
Its physicians are licensed in Panama, its lab is licensed by Panama's Ministry of Health, and it gives umbilical-cord tissue cells. On five of the six things in the table above, Stem Cell Institute and Celva are alike. Neither is FDA-approved for these indications in the United States.
Is Stem Cell Institute in a hospital or a clinic?
Stem Cell Institute treats in a clinic on the 63rd floor of the BICSA tower, in the same complex as the Hilton. Celva treats inside a full hospital, Hospital Angeles, Tijuana, with ICU, emergency and imaging in the same building.
How do I know if I qualify?
Candidacy is decided by the physician team against your records, not a web form. The call is where that starts.
How soon could I come in?
Most patients schedule their day within a few weeks of the call. Most patients are home in their own bed that night.
